19” SUB-RACK
Basic dimensions of sub-rack
19” system size and definition
The outer dimension of the left and right flanges of the sub-rack is 482.6mm (19”=19*25.4=482.6), so it is called a 19” system.
WIDTH:
The maximum dimension in the width direction of the sub-rack (except the flange) shall not be greater than 449mm, and the effective space of the card in the width direction of the sub-rack is in HP (or TE) as the unit.
1HP(OR TE) =5.08mm (2/10”)
HEIGHT:
The height dimension of the sub-rack is in U (or HE) as the unit
1U (HE)=44.45mm (1-3/4”)
DEPTH:
The depth of the sub-rack depends on the depth of the internal plug-in, the outlet and the depth of the rear plug-in, etc., which are not specified in the specification. The space allocated by each plug-in should be an integral multiple of HP.
Inserted parts into the subrack:
The PCB type plug-in unit, which is composed of a single PCB, a front panel and a connector.
Box-type plug-in unit, which is equipped with larger size components, or can be installed with multiple PCBs and can provide EMC functions.
Ordering instructions for sub-rack products
The sub-frame is usually made of a variety of aluminum alloy profiles and aluminum alloy plates. The surface treatment of aluminum alloy material is anodic oxidation.
The sub-rack is a customized product. Because of the PCB type and cassette type that are loaded into the sub-rack, their sizes are different for different users.
The width and height dimensions of the sub-rack are the specified dimensions according to IEC and IEEE standards. The depth dimension of the sub-rack is customized according to customer requirements.
When customizing the sub-rack, the user must provide the panel structure size, the number of slot rails, and the required depth size.
