[Brand History]
In the 1960s, a well-known potter found this unique material (Mt. Fuji volcanic mud) while working and realized it was the mineral rich mud that was protecting their hands keeping them wonderfully smooth and problem free. People in the area where the mud was mined used it for traditional remedies because of its high quality and skin care factors since hundreds of years before. In 1972 permission was granted for use as a quasi-drug. It first took the form of a bath additive and then later was re-born as a skincare series. All Hijiriko series contain treasured Mt. Fuji volcanic mud and the efficacy of this mud is mainly
whitening, smoothing and detoxing skin.

Company Information

We specialize in skincare products born from Mt. Fuji. Hijiriko is a trade name of Mt. Fuji volcanid mud. Hijiriko skincare is the only brand in the world that uses rare and treasured Mt. Fuji volcanic mud. We take good care of the said mud in order to keep our brand 100 years because the amount of the mud is limited after Mt. Fuji was designated as UNESCO world heritage and as a result no further mining of the mud is permitted. We also deals with Fujino Asatsuyu skincare that contains Mt. Fuji underground water as an ingredient.
