This product is the dry aerial part of Compositae Eclipta prostrata L. The flowers are harvested and dried when they bloom.
[Character]
The whole product is white and fluffy. The stem is cylindrical, has longitudinal edges, and has a diameter of 2 to 5 mm; the surface is greenish brown or dark green. The leaves are opposite, almost sessile, the leaves are shrunken, curled or broken, and the intact ones are long lanceolate after flattening, the whole or shallow teeth, dark green. The diameter of the head is 2~6mm. Achenes are oval and flat, 2 to 3 mm long, brown or light brown. Slight gas, slightly salty taste.
