Description

Pancreatin is a blend of three enzymes consisting of amylase, protease and lipase enzymes. It is also known as pancreases and pancrelipase. It is secreted by pancrease which is located behind the stomach in the upper left abdomen.

It is sually obtained from the pancreas of pigs or cows but can be derived from plant sources as well (Castor Bean and Dehulled Oats) for industrial use.

 

Uses:-

•  Pancreatin has a primary function of helping in breakdown of food and convert it into energy.
• The supplement is comprised of a commercial mixture of amylase (to digest starch), protease (to digest protein) and lipase (to digest fat)
