Food grade light calcium carbonate mainly can be used in the production of milk powder, beverages, cakes, milk tablets, etc., thereby increasing the calcium nutrients, making it fluffy and taste better. Food grade light calcium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, alum are compounded to obtain a leavening agent, which can produce a uniform and delicate bulky food, and improve the quality of cakes, breads and biscuits. The amount used in general food is 1%. As a food fortifier, it is used in wheat flour and its products in the amount of 4-8g/kg; in drinking liquid and milk beverage 1-2 g/kg; in infant rice noodles is 7.5-15 g/kg.
