Industrially, metal magnesium is produced by electrolytically melt magnesium chloride or by reducing it with ferrosilicon or the like in an electric furnace. The former is called molten salt electrolysis, and the latter is called silicon thermal reduction. Magnesium has a relatively strong reduction, in the hot water reactions release hydrogen, when burned can produce dazzling white light, magnesium and fluoride, hydrofluoric acid and chromic acid does not occur role.
Magnesium ingot Features:
1.Corrosion resistance and light weight. 2.The density of magnesium is 1.74g/cm3 which is even lighter than aluminum 2.7g/cm3, but mechanical strength and chemical stability are much better than aluminum
3.Magnesium can be directly related to nitrogen, sulfur and halogen such as chemical combination, including hydrocarbons, aldehydes, alcohols, phenols, amines, grease and most of the oil pharmaceutical .
