AntibacterialChloroxylenol is used in hospitals and households for disinfection and sanitation. Chloroxylenol is also commonly
used in antibacterial soaps, wound-cleansing applications and household antiseptics such as Dettol liquid, cream and ointments.

P-chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol (p-chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol) is an antibacterial compound that is widely used to control
gram-positive bacteria, but has limited effects on gram-negative bacteria, mycobacterium tuberculosis, fungi, and viruses. It is
often added to cosmetics, disinfectants, and hand sanitizers.It is also widely used in antibacterial soaps such as drips.Studies
have shown that it can achieve antibacterial effect by interfering with cell membrane potential.

This substance has no significant toxicity to humans and other mammals, and is basically non-toxic to birds, moderately toxic to
