INSTRUCTIONS
1. The tube pass of the volumetric plate heat exchanger is the thermal medium tunnel,and the shell side is the tunnel for heated
water. Thermal medium is steam or high(low)-temperature water.
2. High-quality carbon steel plate is used as its shell material, and users can choose the copper pipes or the stainless steel
pipes as its heating coil.
3. Safety valve is installed on the top of the heat exchanger, whose pressure should be suitable to the highest working pressure
of the heat exchanger. Or an expansion tank shall be designed to be connected with the heat exchanger, in order to discharging
the expanded water.
4. The heat exchanger need to be examined regularly among its using process. Use the thermal shock to descale automatically at
least once a month and drain the water once a week, which could maintain water quality.
5. The specific method of using the thermal shock to descale is : draining the water inside the tube first, then keep passing
through steam, whose inlet pressure is 0.3 MPa, until hear the sounds coming from the heating tube, which indicates the
inflated heating tube. After that, close the steam inlet valve and use the water pipe to squirt the heated tubes, repeat like
this for 3 or 4 times, then you’ll find the fouling products flowing from the sewage outfalls. Finally, fill it up with water
and continue its work.
6. In this heat exchanger, the design pressure of shell side and tube is normally 0.6-1.6 MPa. The temperature of the hot water
outlet would not be higher than 90 centigrade. Tube resistance is below 4mH2 The small tube resistance loss could be
negligible.
7. A temperature-control valve should be installed on the steam inlet tube to control the steam flow and the temperature of hot
water because of the high heat-transfer efficiency of this heat exchanger. Considering the personal security, temperature
control is more necessary particularly for the hot water supply system.
