Pterostilbene is a natural compound found in blueberries and grapes that is closely related to resveratrol.
Pterostilbene is known as the superior resveratrol because of its 4x higher absorption and 7x longer active time in the body. This is due to the presence of two methoxy (O-CH3) groups in pterostilbene instead of two hydroxy (O-H) groups in resveratrol. This slight molecular difference allows pterostilbene to be absorbed better and to actually reach your cells.

Pterostilbene and plant bioflavonoids (anthocyanidins & anthocyanins) in grape seed and skin extracts exert their antioxidant activity by scavenging free radicals and by increasing the expression of various antioxidant enzymes via the Nrf2 pathway, thereby reducing oxidation-induced DNA, cell, tissue, and organ damage.
