Medium Fruity extra virgin olive oil
Medium Fruity. This olive oil is obtained by cold extraction from selected olives of typical Apulian varieties Ogliarola and Coratina, milled
with traditional granite millstones.
The perfect balance between the characters of the two precious cultivars makes it an oil with a harmonious and balanced flavor, ideal for everyday use, on the table or for cooking.

At Frantoio Galantino we produce high quality extra virgin olive oil since 1926, using olives harvested in our centuries-old olive groves in Puglia, in southern Italy.
We own all the phased of the production chain: olive groves, olive mill, bottling facility.
We produce different varieties of extra virgin olive oil: Classical, Affiorato (the first 2%, hand-skimmed), Organic, PDO Terra di Bari, single variety.
We are specialists of natural flavored olive oils (with fresh lemon, basil, chili pepper, garlic, oregano, etc.).
Many packagings are available: glass bottles, tins, hand-painted ceramic jars, small single-portion glass and pet bottles.

Manufacturing Technique


COLTIVATIONS - HARVESTING
Frantoio Galantino is near Bisceglie - BARI, a charming medieval town on the Adriatic coast, an ideal place for growing olives but also coveted tourist destination, center of entertainment and an important archaeological site.
The olives harvest is hand-picking on towels at the right stage of maturity from October 15 to December 31. Product quality isproof of the attention that is dedicated to olive trees and a modern system of pest attacks monitoring, in order to limit the pesticides use.
PRESSING
Washing and crushing with millstones, pressing and cold centrifugation, promote and enhance the taste and fragrance of our Extra
Virgin Olive Oil. The 'oil, subjected to laboratory control and organoleptic test is selected and certified by Mastro Olive Oil.
PACKAGING
The oil, stored in underground tanks in temperature-controlled steel, is packaged in elegant dark glass bottles, cans or ceramics,
to keep its unmistakable taste intact.

BRC (British Retail Consortium) and ’IFS (International Featured Standards) are global standards for food safety. These
certifications guarantee the quality and the safety of food products that are sold to consumers all over the world.


Organic Farming
Organic farming techniques respect the environment, using only natural fertilizers and avoiding any chemical product against parasites. It guarantees that in the products you cannot find any residue of these products. Galantino organic extra virgin olive oil is certified by ICEA according to the laws of the European Union and of the U.S.A. (NOP certification).
ISO 9001 - ISO 14001
It is the international standard for the certification of Quality Systems. It guarantees that the central focus of the company is the customer with his satisfaction, the quality and the continuous improving of all the processes. Galantino has got the Quality Certification since 2002 (Csqa certificate n. 1024).
It certifies that the company has an environmental management system and is constantly pursuing the objectives of reducing the impact of its operations on the environment. Galantino obtained the ISO 14001 environmental certification in 009 (cert. CSQA No 21435).
D.O.P. Protected Denomination of Origin
DOP certification is released by an independent organism. It guarantees the origin, the quality and the typicality of the extra virgin olive oil, which is produced following strict specifications and is analyzed before being bottled. Galantino is included in the DOP zone called “Terra di Bari – Castel del Monte”.
