Product performance

The thermoplastic radiotherapy masks are made of polymeric material. According to the different usages, we can supply head mask, head & shoulder mask, chest mask, pelvis mask, full-set mask, etc.  It could become soft after activitated in 65-70°hot water for 2-3 minutes, and could be moulded to the right shape according to the body parts. As temperature drops, it could become stiff in 3-4minutes, and keep the perfect moulded shape. It has the features of high strengthness, light-weight, breathability, remouldable, x-ray transculent, non-toxic and tasteless, non-irritating to the skin, and biodegradable, etc.

Application Scope

Used for the immobilization and positioning of the head, head-neck-shoulder, chest, pelvis, etc.

 

Instructions

1. Set the water bath to 65-70°, select the right mask accordingly.

2.  Put the mask into 65-70° hot water for 2-3 minutes, after the mask become soft, remove it to the worktable, make it dry. Put the mask on the user’s body part, mould it to the right shape, and fix  it on the base plate.

3. After 2-4 minutes, the mask will become stiff and rigid. Positioning the mark on the mask.

4. How to use cobalt 60 for radiation therapy? We suggest to open the window in the radiation scope to reduce the radiation damage.

Storage: Prevent direct sunlight, away from heat sources, and avoid contact with acid-base, oil and corrosive gases.
