PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
PENCONAZOLE 20% EW is a systemic fungicide with fast uptake and penetration & strong translaminar and acropetal translocation. It controls both primary and secondary infections with long-lasting preventative and curative activity for the control of powdery mildews and rusts of grapes, vegetables, fruit-crops, hops, tobacco and ornamentals.
MODE OF ACTION
The produce is taken up by the plant and acts on the fungal pathogen during penetration and haustoria formation. It stops the development of fungi by interfering with biosynthesis of sterols in cell membranes. Although the mode of action permits protective, curative or eradicative use, it is recommended to apply the product early enough to avoid irreversible crop damage and build up of the disease.
ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS
This pesticide is toxic to mammals, fish and aquatic invertebrates Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark Runoff may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwater or rinsate. It is toxic to bees and birds. It is prohibited during the flowering period, nectar source period and natural enemy release area, beekeeping area and bird sanctuary.
WARNING
May be harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin.
Causes mild skin irritation Causes eye irritation.
May cause liver damage from repeated oral exposure at high doses.
Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
