Levulinic acid
This product has a wide range of applications. Levulinic acid can be used as both carboxylic acid and ketone for reaction, and various products including resin, medicine, perfume, solvent, coating and ink, rubber and plastic additives,surfactants, etc. can be prepared through oxidative dehydrogenation and condensation. In the pharmaceutical industry, its calcium salt (calcium fructose) can be made into intravenous injection. As a nutraceutical, it is helpful to the formation of bone and maintain the normal excitability of nerves and muscles, and is also used to produce indomethacin and phytohormones.
