Taffeta is also called Taft, it's a kind of polyester thin fabric, with a common specification of 170t-400t, the mostly used is 170t-210t. Taffeta is made of 30D-75D polyester semi gloss FDY. It's the highest density fabric in silk fabrics.

It has fine, neat and smooth silk surface with good luster, but easily having permanent pressmark, so it is not suitable for folding and heavy pressing. It's mostly used as bag lining, packaging and decoration fabric.

With coating, it can be used for raincoat, umbrella, tent, shading cloth, etc.
