Resistance to acid and alkali. JD quartz glass tube does not react with any acid except hydrofluoric acid
The electrical insulation is 10,000 times that of ordinary glass.
High transmittance, up to 85 -95% depending on the spectrum.
Good thermal shock stability, low thermal expansion coefficient, only (5.3-5.8) X10^(-7)
