Cost
During production, due to the various sizes of the substrate, Cold laminating film requires large stock volume and has a scrap
rate at over 15%.
Infrared radiation dry water-based wet coatings by solvent evaporation which shrinks the initial coating application by more than 50%. 

The limited length of heating conveyor lower the yield rates to 1-2 m/minute. 

It is not applicable on heat sensitive substrate.
KANA UV curable coatings have 99.5% solid content of phenolic epoxy resin with additives such as defoamer, leveling agent,
photoinitiator and a very little solvents. 
it costs only 5 to 8g per square meter to apply coatings on various format substrate which can reduce scrap to 2% and increase yield rates to 5-8 m/minute and even 15 m/minute at ultimate load.

Curling, shrinkage, breakage, bubbles and wrinkles happen easily after a short period of time.
If Using A 2kg weight to scratch the coating back and forth at a uniform speed, and the surface coating falls off within 100 times of scratching test. 

Waterproof quality of IR drying coating is worse than that of UV curable coating.
Excellent adhesion: the coating will not fall off when pulled by 3M tape. Brilliant quality: SGS aging test guarantee no quality change within 1.5 years of outdoor exposure under sunlight and rain and within 48 hours between -20℃ to +68℃. KANA UV
curable coating can resist 2000 times of scratching test and 20 times of rubbing with alcohol.
Color Consistency
PVC laminating film application will darken printing colors due to lower transmittance
the coating surface brightness is among 50°-60°. and it will become darker under high temperature.
KANA UV curable coating has better color consistency due to the higher transmittance. the coating surface brightness can reach 90°
-92°.
Smell
Heavy odor: the odor is difficult to dissipate in a confined space.
Solvent evaporation creates unpleasant smell of ammonia plus environmental pollutants
Only a little smell of epoxy resin. 0.5% solvents solves the problem of volatility and irritation.
Environmental Friendliness
White Pollution: The PVC laminating film incineration will generate air pollution; PVC takes more than 30 years to decompose. PVC
landfill will cause water and soil pollution.
