API 5L Grade B pipe is the commonly used grade line pipe for oil and gas pipeline transmissions. API 5L Grade B covers PSL1, PSL2,Sour Services, for onshore and offshore pipelines. API 5l Grade B PSL1 is generally equivalent to ASTM A106 B, A53 B or ISO 3183 L245 Pipe, which has the minimum yield strength of 245 Mpa (355,000 Psi). API 5l Grade B PSL2 Pipe has more strict chemical and mechanical strength and requires more test methods like None Destructive Test, CVN Impact Test, DWT etc.
API 5L Grade B Pipes are made by seamless and welded process(ERW, LSAW, SSAW/HSAW), which depends on your pipe diameter and actual uses, has been widely used for conveying gas, water, oil, and other liquefied media.
