INTEGRAL HEAVY WEIGHT DRILL PIPE (HWDP)
The integral heavy weight drill pipe (HWDP) is made of AISI 4145H alloy steel. The material has undergone all heat treatment, and all physical properties comply with the latest API specification 7. HWDP is the transition drill string section between ordinary drill pipe and drill collar. It can effectively alleviate the stress concentration in the transition section of the combination of drill collar and drill pipe, provide WOB, and effectively reduce the connection area and outer diameter wear rate between drill string and well wall. There is an upset section in the middle of the drill pipe. The surface of the joint and the upset part in the middle are welded with hardbanding to form a wear-resistant belt, which can effectively protect the drill pipe from wearing. HWDP can replace drill collar to solve a series of problems in vertical drilling under soft geological structure

The integral HWDP is welded with a standard wear-resistant hardbanding at both ends and the upset part in the middle. Both ends of
the female and box end are provided with 4" wide wear-resistant hardbanding (1" wide wear-resistant hardbanding can also be welded on the 18 ° shoulder of the female end according to the needs of customers), and the upset part in the center is provided with 3"wide wear-resistant hardbanding. The thickness of the wear-resistant hardbanding shall not exceed 1 / 8" of the adjacent pipe
surface (the thickness of the wear-resistant hardbanding can be thickened according to the needs of customers or providing smooth
hardbanding surface at box end). See below drawing.
ARNCO Hardbanding or TK34, TK34P internal coating are optional according to request.
