R881 Silicone Insulating Glass Sealant
A two-part silicone sealant designed for use as a secondary sealant in a dual-sealed insulating glass unit, as well as in an insulating glass unit that will be structurally glazed. The product cures to a durable, high-modulus, flexible silicone seal that is chemically stable and creates a weather proof bond. It has excellent unprimed adhesion to glass and metal substrates, such as galvanized steel and aluminum.

Main Applications

Operation Process
Surface cleaning:
In order to ensure that the structural adhesive has good adhesion, the surface of material to be adhered must be clean, dry.
Cleaning process:
Cleaning process:
A clean, lint-free white cloth must be used, and the solvent can be absolute ethanol, acetone, xylene, etc., using the "double cloth wiping method" as follow:
1. Wipe the adhered area with a clean, lint-free white cloth soaked in solvent.
2. Wipe it off the surface with a second dry, clean, lint-free white cloth immediately before the solvent evaporates.
3. The cleaned area must be completed within 1 hour. Otherwise it should be cleaned again.
4. Open flames are strictly prohibited in areas where solvents are used, and good ventilation should be maintained.
Mixed process:

Mixed process:
R881 should be mixed in a closed mixed glue machine system. The mass ratio of component A and component B is A: B = 11 to 14: 1. The user can change the mixing ratio to adjust the curing speed according to the actual needs.
