How to take your temperature?

1. After a short signaling tone(beep), the following sign will appear in the displayRBBBlI. The display and operation test will go for approximately 2 seconds.

2. The digital thermometer will show system default temperature 37'C at first use.

3. Then"L"and a flashing"." will appear in the display indicating that the digital thermometer is ready for measuring. If the ambient temperature is higher than3ZC, the ambient temperature will be displayed instead of "L". During a measurement, the temperature is display continuously and the symbol flashes.

4. The signaling tone sounds (4 beeps) indicating that measuring is finished.

5. The digital thermometer will automatically turn off after 8 minutes.

6. For checking the memory, press the ON/OFF button and hold for a couple of seconds, the LCD will display the last temperature measurement with "M”symbol.

Taking an oral temperature

Place the probe tip under the tongue as near as possible to the heat pocket. Approximate measuring time: Approximately 20 seconds.

Taking an axillary temperature (under the arm)

Wipe the underarm with a dry towel and place the probe tip under the arm so the tip is touching the skin the thermometer perpendicular to the body. Position the arm across the chest so the probe tip is well covered by the arm.

In order to achieve better axillary temperature measurement result, a minimum measring time of 3-5 minutes is recommeded regardless of the beep sound. Approximate measuring time: Approximately 30 seconds.

Note:axillary temperatures are generally 0.5°C/1.0T lower than oral readings.

Taking a rectal temperature

Apply a water-soluble lubricant to the probe cover Gently insert the probe (MAXIMUM 1/2") into the rectum.

Approximate measuring time: Approximately 10 seconds.

Note:Rectal temperatures are generally 0.5'C/1.0 T' higher than oral readings.
