Sidewall Density Gamma Probe:


 


The Sidewall Density Gamma Probe is a versatile wireline tool that can be used in a wide variety of logging applications. Measurements include Natural Gamma, SpontaneousPotential (SP), Laterolog-3 Resistivity, SSD (short-spaced density), LSD (long-spaced density), Compensated density (dual density), and Caliper. The tool section is designed for operation in 50– 300 mm boreholes.


 


This dual detector, high resolution density tool is fully characterized, producing accurate near and far density measurements transformed into compensated density by use of stand-off compensation algorithms. These algorithms produce effective data even when borehole rugosity and fractures adversely affect accuracy of uncompensated logs.

Coal field logging refers to the use of geophysical logging tools to determine the geological conditions and rock physical properties of the borehole using the difference in lithology between the coal seam and the surrounding rock.


 


1.The resistivity value is a medium-high value, and the range of variation is large.
      The double lateral values range from tens of ohms to several thousand ohms; in good coal seams, there is a significant positive difference between the deep lateral and shallow lateral directions.



2. The compensation neutron value is large. The value is generally around 50%, and the highest is more than 70%.



3. The acoustic wave time difference is large, the longitudinal wave time difference of the coal seam is between 350 and 450 μs/m, and the transverse wave time difference is between 500 and 700 μs/m.

1. The natural gamma value is low: the natural gamma value of the coal seam is low, generally between 20 and 80 API, and the maximum purity of coal is up to 200 API. Helium, uranium and uranium are also low in content, and individual coal seams have high uranium content.


 


2. Low bulk density value: The coal seam has a low bulk density value, and the coal seam bulk density value is 1.2 to 2.0 g/cm.


 


3. Low effective photoelectric section value: The photoelectric effective cross-section value of the coal seam is low, and the effective cross-section value of the coal seam is in the range of 0.5-1.2 b/e.
