It can also be used as fiber wetting agent, pesticide dispersant, resin plasticizer and organic synthesis intermediate. A reagent for the determination of iron and molybdenum. It is an auxiliary solvent to improve emulsifying property and dissolve mineral oil in soap. It is also an excellent solvent.
