Ferro Silicon 75% FeSi 72% is an iron-silicon alloy made of coke, steel shavings, quartz and smelted in an electric furnace. Ferro Silicon contains Si, Ca, Al, Mn, Fe materials.

As silicon and oxygen are easily compound into SiO2, the Ferro Silicon 75% FeSi 72% is often used as deoxidizer and alloy agent in steelmaking to improve steel strength, hardness and elasticity. It is also used as inoculant and spheroidizer in foundry industry.

Application for Ferro Silicon

 Ferro Silicon 75% FeSi 72% is used as a source of silicon to reduce metals from their oxides and to deoxidize steel and other ferro alloys. Ferrosilicon is also used for manufacture of silicon, corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant ferrous silicon alloys, and silicon steel for electromotors and transformer cores. There are many practical applications of Ferro Silicon to include carbon steel and stainless steel production, and when using the Pidgeon process to produce magnesium from dolomite.
1. Ferro Silicon 75% FeSi 72% is often used as deoxidizer in steel- making.  

2. Ferro Silicon 75% FeSi 72% also can be used as alloy elements join agent, which is widely 

used in low alloy steel, non-ferrous metal, bearing steel, heat-resistant steels and electrician 

silicon-steel.

3.In the industry of cast iron, ferro silicon lump/powder is used as inoculant and spheroidizer(nodulizer);

4. Ferro Silicon 75% FeSi 72% can be used as a reductant in ferroalloy production and chemical 

industry.
