JH-E series PEM electrolyzer cell is an advanced patented product, which is Low voltage and higher efficiency, energy-saving and of environmental protection , producing hydrogen and oxygen through the electrolysis of pure water (without adding alkali).
Working Principle
The proton exchange membrane (PEM), which only allows water and positive ions to cross between compartments. The membrane also serves as the electrolyte in the cell, eliminating the need for hazardous liquid electrolytes such as concentrated potassium hydroxide. PEM water electrolysis simply splits pure deionized water (H2O) into its constituent parts, hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2), on either side of this membrane. When a DC voltage is applied to the electrolyzer, water fed to the anode, or oxygen electrode, are oxidized to oxygen and protons, while electrons are released. The protons (H+ ions) pass through the PEM to the cathode, or hydrogen electrode, where they meet electrons from the other side of the circuit, and are reduced to hydrogen gas. The two reactions that occur in the cell are as

4H+ + 4e- -> 2H2
Thus, the only possible components of the streams are hydrogen, oxygen and water moisture, as shown in the following picture:

The installation method
The installation method as following:
1. The bracket of the cellis fixed in the appropriate position with the bolt of M5, and the water tank is placed on the side of the cell, and the outlet of the water tank is required to be higher than the outlet of the cell.
2. The water outlet of the water tank and the intake port of the cell are connected with the silica gel tube of φ6*9. The water outlet of the cell and the return water of the water tank are connected to form a loop.
3. The power cathode is connected to the cathode plate of the cell, and the negative electrode of the power supply connects the negative plate of the cell.
4. Connect the hydrogen outlet to the load with a φ3 stainless steel tube and tighten the nut.
5. Add de-ionized water, the water level should not be lower than the water tank outlet position, the maximum must not exceed the water tank back position. If it is found that there is no water in the silicon hose of the connected cell, the connection is not correct, and check reconnection is required.
Remarks:

Remarks:
1,The power supply of the electrolytic cell is a DC Constant current power supply.
2,The water for the cell must be de-ionized or two distilled water, the resistivity is more than 1MΩ·cm,
3,The electrolysis cell will be damaged if the water is not up to the standard.
