Fragrance leaf, also known as bay leaf, is the dry stem and leaf of Lauraceae, a kind of seasoning. The margins are finely hairy, with unequal notches, and both sides are densely hairy; petiole is 4-6 cm long; stipules are flat and broad, often falling off. The leaves are dark green, oval, leathery, bitter and fragrant. After drying, the bitterness is reduced and the aroma is enhanced, which can be used as a seasoning, namely "scented leaves".
