Product Description
Ferronickel is an alloy. The main components are nickel and iron, and also contain Cr, Si, s, P, C and other impurity elements.
Ferronickel is divided into feni20 (Ni 15% ~ 25%), FeNi30 (Ni 25% ~ 35%), feni40 (Ni 35% ~ 45%) and feni50 (Ni 45% ~ 60%) according to the nickel content. It is further divided into high carbon (C 1.0% ~ 2.5%), medium carbon (C 0.030% ~ 1.0%) and low carbon (C < 0.03%); Low phosphorus (P < 0.02%) and high phosphorus (P < 0.030%) ferronickel.
The biggest use of ferronickel is for stainless steel charging. As a substitute for nickel, generally, low-grade ferronickel can be directly used for 200 series stainless steel, and more than 8% grade ferronickel can be used for 300 series stainless steel.
