Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) Application
Food appropriation type CMC has good properties of acid proof, emulsifying and heat stability. Its water solution has high clarity and when used in liquid milk, soy milk, juice milk, peanut milk and acidity beverages like lactic acid and fruit acid, etc., it can make the solution stable with clean taste and suitable for regular bacterium extinguishing technique such as ultra high temperature (UHT) and Pasteurizing. The suggested adding amount is 0.3-0.5%.
When used as dispersant and shape forming agent in ice cream, food appropriation type CMC can not only increase the expansion rate of icecream, but also prevent ice crystal and make ice cream with fine taste, better smoothness and good shape. Its suggested adding amount is 0.25-0.35%
The properties of thickening, suspending and salt proof, etc. of food appropriation type CMC can stabilize and even condiments like soy sauce and jam, beverages like eight treasure rice pudding and fruit beverage, and increase their texture. The suggested adding amount is 0.3-0.8%.

Application of CMC
1.CMC for Oil Drilling: It can increase viscosity and reduce water loss in drilling fluid, cementing fluid and fracturing
fluid. It also plays the role of protecting the wall of well, taking drilling trifles, protecting drilling bit, preventing mud
loss and increasing drilling rate.
*Usage: add to mud directly or glue solution preparation.
*Addition: 0.1-0.3% in fresh water mud; 0.5-0.8% in salt water mud.
2.CMC Ceramic Grade: It's used for ceramic embryo, glazing pulp and colored glaze in ceramic industry.
*Addition:0.03%-0.2% used in ceramic embryo; 0.05-0.2% used in glazing pulp; 1.4-4.0% used in colored glaze.
3.CMC Paper Grade: It's used in making pulp so as to improve the retention rate and increase humidity and strength;
4.CMC Construction Grade: Used in construction to improve water retention and strength.
