Description

There are two kinds of diamond indenters used in Vickers hardness tester, one is Vickers diamond indenter, and the other is Knup diamond indenter for hardness measurement of brittle materials such as glass, ceramics and enamel.

The geometric shape of the Vickers diamond indenter is a square pyramid (or pyramid), and the angle between the two opposite faces is 136°.
