The NOx sensor is used to measure the nitrogen and oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas of the engine to meet the needs of the closed-loop control of the engine after-treatment system and the needs of the on-board OBD diagnostic system. Nox sensor is usually installed at the rear end of the catalyst in the exhaust pipe. It can be applied to gas engine or diesel engine,and its structure includes ceramic probe, cable and processing chip controller, and communicates with ECU through CAN. The main function of the NOX sensor is to detect whether the NOX concentration value in the exhaust gas exceeds the limit, and at the same time, it is the basis for diagnosing whether the catalytic converter is aging or dismantled.The NOx sensor transmits the NOx value in the exhaust gas to the ECU in time after normal operation. The ECU does not judge whether the exhaust gas is qualified by monitoring the real-time NOx value, but detects whether the NOx value in the exhaust gas exceeds the standard through a set of nitrogen oxide monitoring programs.
