UHMWPE Marine Fender
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE) dock fender could avoid the impact damage between ships and dock. Because of the high impact resistance performance, UHMWPE dock fender instead of the traditional steel ones is widely used in ports and docks at home and abroad.
Our UHMW PE-1000 marine fenders are made from virgin uhmwpe material, which is much superior to wood and rubber in building marine constructions or coastal protective structures. UHMW PE-1000 marine fenders allow vessels to glide easily along the surface, protecting hulls and dock structures. Impervious to marine bore worms with minimum cleaning.
Sliding strips and plates made of Polyethylene are a superior alternative to for example timber and other facing materials as a protective cover for different constructions.
HD-PE does not split or decay and is totally resistant to borers. Environmentally friendly, HD-PE can be used instead of tropical hardwoods, lasts much longer, and can be fully recycled at the end of its useful life.

ABOSN UHMWPE1000 ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) is the first choice material for facing steel fender panels and other heavy duty applications. They also used in corner pad for marine fender cover/ coner marine fender pads for jetty . It combines very low friction with excellent impact strength and a wear resistance much better than steel. Most popular is UHWMPE1000-DS which is 'double-sintered' and work-hardened for extra durability. The standard colour is black, but if other colours are needed then UHMWPE 1000-V 'virgin' grade also comes in yellow, white, grey, blue, green and red. UHMW-PE1000 materials are compounded to resist ozone and UV radiation. They do not degrade or rot .
