Machining of 8mm steel balls for M3 threaded holes

1.Wire Drawing:

Stretch the purchased wire to the desired wire diameter with a wire drawing machine.

2.Cold Heading: 

The wires of the desired diameter are put into the cold machine of steel ball and the mould in the cold heading machine is used to forge the ball blank.

3.Deflashing/Flashing Ball:

The flash line, a ridge left by the forming dies, is removed as balls roll between heavy,cast iron plates.

4.Soft Grinding:

Similar to deflashing, except that a grinding stone is used to improve precision.

5.Drilling:

Put the soft grinding steel ball into the automatic drilling machine for drilling.

6.Plating:

According to customer’s requirements, the surface of the drilling ball is plated, generally galvanized, nickel plated, chrome plated, etc.

7.Packaging:

According to customer’s requirement, the selected qualified steel balls will be packaged finally.
