- Note:For the two red wires,please connect the long red wire to the fan and the short red wire to the battery.
- 1.Mount the relay under the hood in a convenient location as to the fan as possible.
- Notice:Don't use the teflon tape or thread compoud on the thermostat or adaptor.For proper operation,the thermostat must ground threough the threads to the engine and the engine must be ground.
- 2.Install thermostat into the head or intake manifold.Route the black wire to thermostat and cut to length.Crimp the red terminal onto the black wire and attach to thermostat.
- 3.Route and connect the red wire to the fan "+" terminal or power wire coming from the fan motor printed "to electric fan".
- 4.Mount the circuit breaker provided in a convenient location as close as possible to whichever power source(battery or large terminal on the starter solenoid)you are using for the fan relay.
- 5.Neatly route the red wire from the relay to one side circuit breaker installed in step 5. Cut to length and install using a small yellow ring terminal .With another small yellow ring terminal take the remaining red wire and connect the unused post on the circuit breaker to the battery source.This wire is printed"to battery/constant hot"
- 6.Route the brown wire to the ignition switch or the fan switch whichever is more convenient.
- Installation tips:
- 1.Turning off the engine, replace the new cooling fan temperature switches after the water in engine radiator cooled to the room temperature.
- 2.Avoid the external high heat source after installation.
- 3.Avoid sprinkling water on surrounding auto parts during the installation.

How to replace the car auto cooling fan thermostat switch 50amp relay kits ?
SINGLE SWITCH MODELS :
1.Locate the cooling fan switch near the thermostat housing on the left side of engine behind the distributor assembly. The switch wire colors should be green and black.
2.Disconnect the wire terminal from the cooling fan switch.
3.Allow the engine to reach a coolant temperature of 196-203°F (91-95°C).
4.Using a suitable ohmmeter or continuity tester, check for continuity between the two fan switch terminals. The fan switch should have continuity (switch closed) at the above temperatures. The switch should have no continuity (switch open) when the temperature drops between 5-15°F (3-8°C) from the temperature that the switch first had continuity (switch closed).
5.If the switch does not operate within the range of the supplied information, allow the engine to cool below 100°F (37°C) and replace the switch.
WARNING
Submerging the electric cooling fan switch below the threads could damage the component. Coolant must be used for this test as the boiling point of water is below the temperature required for testing some of the sensors. Perform this procedure in a safe and well-ventilated area. Do not breathe any fumes from the heated coolant. Wear eye protection and use care to not come in contact with any of the heated components. Do not use a heating device that produces an open flame.

FAQ
#1) The themp wire have power is it supposed to?
Answer : the temp sensor sends ground only to the relay .
#2) Does this kit have an ac compressor overide circuit ?
Answer : This kit is for universal use. I allow a system to operate thru a controlled circuit. An override system can be added to the relay connection as an interruptor.
#3) I have a 55 amp alternator. Do I have to upgrade to a 60 amp plus alternator?
Answer: If your installing electric fans and have a 55 amp alternator I probably would upgrade. Electric fans can draw 30 amps. I’m not sure what you are currently running in your car so I’m assuming that your using most of those 55 amps already. One fan is recommended to be connected to a 12V, 40AMP power supply, only two fans can be connected to 60AMP.
#4) How do you chose between 40 50 or 60 amps?
Answer : Depends on your amp draw, the information is show in the instruction book for your reference. If you need more help, please send us messages directly.
#5) If i had dual fans would i need to temp sensors?
Answer : You need one temp sensor. One wire from sensor is split to the two fan relays.
