Mine electric locomotives are mainly used for long-distance transportation in underground roadways and ground. It is equivalent to the electric locomotive in railway transportation. It hauls a train composed of mine cars or people-cars to walk on the track. The electric locomotive that completes the transportation of coal, gangue, materials, equipment, and personnel is called a mining electric locomotive.
The mine electric locomotive consists of a mechanical part and an electrical part. The mechanical part includes: frame, wheel set, bearing box, spring bracket, braking device, sanding device, connecting buffer device, etc. The electrical part includes: DC series motor, controller, resistance box, pantograph, automatic air switch (over-line electric locomotive) or explosion-proof plug, battery (battery electric locomotive).
