Container mode of transport
The use of containers, there are generally four loading methods. Weight and volume requirements vary according to different shipping companies.
1. Small volume or weight less than 15 tons can be LCL;
2. A single 20-foot cabinet is generally limited to 27 tons in weight, 6 meters in length and 2.39 meters in height;
3. A single 40-foot large cabinet is generally limited to 28 tons in weight, 12 meters in length and 2.39 meters in height;
4. A single 40-foot high cabinet is generally limited to 28 tons in weight, 12 meters in length and 2.69 meters in height.
Generally, the bulk carrier can only be booked with more than 100 tons of cargo. The more weight, the lower the freight price.
According to different international express companies have different requirements for charging, the weight limit of a single shipment, such as DHL less than 70 kg,FedEx less than 68 kg, TNT less than 30 kg and so on. The length limit for a single shipment is generally less than 2 meters. Special handling is required for goods exceeding the limit weight or length, and additional charges shall be calculated.
