Ferro Vanadium:

Ferro Vanadium is mainly used for smelting alloy steel. About 90% of vanadium consumed in the world is used in the iron and steel industry. Vanadium is mainly used to refine grain size in low alloy steel, increase the strength and inhibit aging effect of steel; in alloy structural steel, it is to refine grain to increase the strength and toughness of steel; in spring steel, it is used with chromium or manganese to increase the elastic limit of steel and improve its quality; in tool steel, it mainly refines the structure and grain of steel, increases the tempering stability of steel and enhances the second Secondary hardening improves the wear resistance and prolongs the service life of tools; vanadium also plays a beneficial role in heat-resistant steel and hydrogen resistant steel; vanadium added in cast iron promotes the formation of pearlite due to the formation of carbide, which makes cementite stable, and the shape of graphite particles is fine and uniform, which refines the grain size of matrix, thus improving the hardness, tensile strength and wear resistance of castings.
