Lake sand suction pump is a powerful sand pump machine which is widely used in pumping coarse sand or gravel sand for long discharge distance. 14 inch lake sand suction pump has the characteristics of wide flow passage, strong wear resistance, power suction, good cavitation performance, etc. The sand pump is designed with the maximum 350 mm inner diameter. Generally, there are four types of 14 inch lake sand suction pump, they are big particle sand pump, marine sand pump, high head sand pump and small sand suction pump.

On Feb 13th, 2019, one customer from Shanxi came to our company. This customer purchased the marine sand suction pump 250ND-22 before. The flow is 800m³/h, the head is 22 m it is driven by a 250hp diesel engine.

However, due to the expansion of production demand, the customer needed to buy a larger pumping set. The solid particle output of the lake sand suction pump should be more than 400m³/h and the discharge distance should be about 1000 meters.

Considering that the gravel on the work site is large and there are large particles such as pebbles, the technical team of OCEAN PUMP recommended big particle gravel sand pump.

According to the requirements of sand production and lift, we selected 14 inch lake sand suction pump for the customer, matching with Weichai 818 hp diesel engine and gearbox. And we chose the IS 200-150-315 high pressure water pump for jetting.

Finally, due to limited budget, the customer purchased the second-hand WEICHAI 601 kw diesel engine to support the 14 inch sand suction pump.

The technicians of OCEAN PUMP worked together to assemble the 14 inch sand suction pump unit and delivered it to the work site.

The diesel engine driven lake sand suction pump test on work site ran successfully on Mar. 5th, 2019. The sand output is 400 m³/h. The customer was very satisfied with the OCEAN Brand  sand pump.
