DESCRIPTION
Extra strong separated gypsum of grade 18 for medical purpose.
WORK ORDER
-- The product is mixed with water in a clean container on the principle of gypsum in water.
-- The amount of water is determined according to the information on the package, based on the amount of gypsum to be shut.
-- Further, the material is mixed until smooth.
-- Neutrality, pH - 6: 7

What is different between a gypsum of grade 16 and a gypsum of grade 18? |
The item produced from a gypsum of grade 16 has Strength under compression no less than 16 MPa. And the item produced from a gypsum of grade 18 has Strength under compression no less than 18 MPa. Number of gypsum's grade equal the Strength limit of beam samples at the age of 2 hours under compression. |
What is Plaster or Paris? |
Plaster of Paris is alpha gypsum plaster also known as high strength gypsum. |
What is the difference between Plaster of Paris and building gypsum (beta gypsum)? |
Alpha Gypsum is obtained by heating of gypsum stone under high pressure. Though both have the same chemical composition (CaSO4.1 / 2H2O), they differ in their crystallographic structures. In Beta plaster, crystals are needle-like and amorphous shaped, but in Alpha plaster they have a much more refined and geometrical shape. This structure of alpha gypsum crystals allows to obtain a low water demand, which subsequently leads to formation of less internal pores in products and it becomes more durable. |

Samara Gypsum Plant (TM SAMARAGIPS) is one of the largest plants in Russian gypsum industry. It was established in 1944. The main specialization is production of high-strength (alpha-gypsum/plaster of Paris) and building (beta-gypsum) gypsum, tongue-and-groove gypsum boards as well as dry building mixes and unique products for making decor elements, which are full-featured line called SMART GYPSUM.
