Description
PTFE Rope is a specially formulated sealing material made of high grade 100 % Virgin PTFE.
PTFE Rope is soft un-sintered 100% pure expand PTFE having a very smooth surface finish and is characterized by very low co-efficient of friction. This makes it a very useful sealing material and is used as a rope gasket on flanged connections of pipe, fittings, tanks &vessels and such other mating surfaces. as well as a gland packing in valve stem application.
High temperature resistance
Excellent heat resistance, working temperature up to 260 ° C, melting point 327 ° C.
Low temperature resistance
Good mechanical toughness, even at temperatures down to -196 ° C, can maintain 5% elongation.
Corrosion resistance
It is inert to most chemicals and solvents, resistant to strong acids and alkalis, water and various organic solvents.
Highly lubricated
The lowest coefficient of friction in solid materials.
Non-adhesive
