What is an ALTITUDE TEST CHAMBER ?

An altitude chamber combines temperature and low-pressure altitude with optional humidity to test basic components or sub-assemblies for a variety of industries, such as defense, aerospace, avionics, automotive, electronics and others.

Here are two common appliations of an altitude test chamber :

- Testing of avionics or other aerospace equipment to simulate actual conditions it might experience

- Simulation of high-altitude conditions like might be found in mountainous regions and plateau

And such an altitude test chamber is especially important for defense and aerospace applications where pressure and vacuum conditions are even more intense. 

ATMARS can provide custom-built altitude chambers for simultaneous testing of temperature, low-pressure altitude and optional humidity conditions.

Our altitude/temperature and altitude/temperature/humidity chambers offer performance flexibility and reliablility for today's mixed-environment testing requirements with an overall temperature range of -70°C to +150°C, optional humidity capabilities of 20% to 98% RH and altitude up to 200,000 feet.

Temperature Range: -70°C to 150°C (at standard atmospheric pressure)

Optional Humidity Range: 20% to 98% RH (optional humidity control when altitude system is off)

Pressure Range: 0.5KPa to 101.325 KPa (standard atmospheric pressure)

Standard Altitude Range: site level to 100,000 feet (30,480m / 8.28 mm Hg / 8.28 Torr)

Optional Altitude Range: site level to 150,000 feet (45,720m / 1.10 mm Hg / 1.10 Torr) site level to 200,000 feet (60,960m / 0.169 mm Hg / 0.169 Torr)

Optional extended ranges are also available to simulate sea level testing when your site is significantly above sea level
