Description
Background
This protein is similar to insulin in function and structure and is a member of a family of proteins involved in mediating growth and development. The encoded protein is processed from a precursor, bound by a specific receptor, and secreted. Defects in this gene are a cause of insulin-like growth factor I deficiency. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms that may undergo similar processing to generate mature protein. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]
Lr3-IGF1 is an IGF-1 analogue containing 83 amino acids, including a complete human IGF-1 sequence, with 13 amino acids added at the N-terminus, and Arg (R) replacing Glu (E) at the third amino acid sequence, which reduces the protein binding ability and significantly improves the biological activity.

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS，5%mannital，0.01% Tween80 pH7.4.
Quality Control
Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: Less than 0.1 ng/ug (1 EU/ug) as determined by LAL test.
Storage
Lyophilized protein should be stored and transported at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.
Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20°C for 3 months.
