What is melamine moulding compounds
Melamine moulding compounds ( thermosetting plastics) are amino moulding compounds composed of melamine formaldehyde and alpha cellulose as filling material with the addition of lubricant , hardening agent & pigments.
Thermosets offer many advantages over basic thermoplastics and are suitable for compression , transfer or injection moulding. Theyare produced in a precise, brilliant, light fastness and vibrant range of colors They are available in powder (which gives muchbetter surface) or granular form.
