Pine bark extract is a class of substances extracted from pine bark. The pine bark stripped from the tree is collected, flattened and extracted.
The antioxidant capacity of pine bark extract comes from proanthocyanidins (oligomers of procyanidins) (OPCs), which are 20 times stronger than vitamin C and 50 times stronger than vitamin E. As antioxidants, OPCs can effectively suppress the effect of free radicals, and free radicals are mainly used in health products, food supplements and cosmetics
