PSU (polysulfone) is a slightly amber amorphous transparent or translucent polymer with good radiation stability, low ionic impurities and good chemical and hydrolysis resistance.


Application

Electronic insulating parts are widely used in food processing equipment, such as machinery, pump valves, filters, heat exchangers, etc., and are also often used in medical equipment related to repeated cleaning and disinfection.

High thermal stability, hydrolysis resistance, small molding shrinkage, non-toxic, radiation resistance, flame resistance, and quenching. Excellent hydrolysis resistance, physical inertness, very good dimensional stability, translucent, opaque, anti-ultraviolet, anti-high-energy radiation, good electrical insulation properties.
PSU is an amorphous high-performance polymer with not only high mechanical performance, but also excellent thermal and chemical stability (continuous service temperature around 170°C), as well as high dimensional stability and creep strength. Unique torsional strength in its thermoplastic makes it an inexpensive alternative to small steel cut parts. Features: Extremely high strength and stiffness, excellent dimensional stability, excellent chemical resistance, hydrolysis resistance, high thermal non-deformation ability, not limited by weather conditions. Inherently flame retardant with low smoke generation and physical inertness (suitable for food contact). Good electrical insulation properties. Applications: tableware/catering, medical equipment, telecommunications, molded interconnects (MIDs), automotive lighting, aircraft interiors, HVAC/fluid handling.
