Description
Chaga grows under the bark of birch silver birch, elm, alder, etc. or under the bark of standing trees or on the dryness of trees after felling. Black gray on the outside, with irregular groove marks, yellow on the inside, sessile, 25-40cm in diameter, dark color, deep cracked on the surface, very hard, brittle when dry, fertile part thickness 5mm, thin crust, dark brown; fungus Tube 3-10mm, brittle, usually the front end of the fungus tube is cracked, 6-8 fungal holes per mm, round, light white, dark brown later; fungus flesh is woody, with slight, indistinct rings, Fresh (bright) fawn. Spores Broad elliptic to ovate, smooth, 9-10μm × 5.5-6.5μm, with setae.
