1. What's CFRT?
CFRT refers to continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite. It is a new generation of FRP stronger in
tensile and flexural properties, and also lightweight. CFRT is an ideal material for sandwich panel skins.
2. How about panel skin lamination?
CFRT sandwich panel skin can be laminated at one or different angles. (0°, 45°, -45°, 90°, etc.)
Some examples:
1 cross ply (single layer): 0° or 90° laminated, single dimension;
2 cross ply (double layers): 0° and 90° laminated, equal strength on each dimension;
3 cross ply: 0°+0°+90° or 0°+90°+90°, partial strength on either 0° or 90°;
5 cross ply: 90/0/90/0/90 or 0/90/0/90/0, or other customized lamination (higher flexural strength and modulus)

Don’t worry. We can customize as per your specification, including length, width, and thickness. For example, the thickness of our CFRT UD tapes ranges from 0.16mm to 0.44mm, which weighs between 240g and 680g per square meter. Our thermoplastic composite sheets can be 2 layers or multi-layers. We can customize up to 9 layers of CFRT laminatess.

9. Can I wrap, spray, or paint the sandwich panel bodies?
Simply yes. But we do not recommend changing the white color to anything darker. There would be an increased risk of delamination due to higher surface temperatures. It will soften the panel adhesive and possibly cause the separation of foam core and CFRT skin. In case of delamination caused by heat, we would guide you through the repair process, but will not be able to accept it as a warranty claim.
10. How about panel skin protection?
Although it is not recommended to change the panel color directly by painting, we have solutions to the protection of panels skins. You can have sandwich panels with PP or PET film on either or both sides. Some panels and skins are also available for adding carbon black in order to be anti-UV and anti-aging.
