Description of MTG pull rod magnetostrictive displacement sensor:

The principle of MTG pull rod magnetostrictive displacement sensor is to generate a strain pulse signal when two different
magnetic fields intersect, and then calculate the time period required for this signal to be detected, so as to convert the exact position. The two fields come from a permanent magnet in the magnetic ring and a pulse of excitation generated by the electronics in the sensor bin. The excitation pulse travels at the speed of sound along the waveguide wire made of magnetostrictive material within the sensor. When it intersects the permanent magnet field in the magnetic ring, the mechanical vibration of the waveguide wire is formed as a strain pulse due to magnetostriction. Strain pulses are soon detected by sensor circuits in the bin. The magnetostrictive displacement sensor can accurately calculate the position change of the magnet by multiply the total time from the moment when the excitation pulse is generated to the time when the strain pulse is detected by the fixed speed of sound. This process is continuous, so whenever the ring position changes, the new position is quickly measured. Since the output signal is the real value, rather than a proportional or reamplified signal, there is no signal drift or variable value, much less the need for periodic remarking like other sensors.

Main Features

Sensors do not need to be recalibrated or maintained regularly.

Before wiring, please check whether the power supply meets the requirements of +24VDC, and the output power of the power supply must be greater than the total power consumption of the product. It is calculated according to each sensor ≤95mA in different ranges. If the power supply fails to meet the requirements, please replace the power supply to ensure that the sensor can work normally.
