Inconel Alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium austenitic alloy similar to Alloy 600 but made precipitation-hardenable by additions of aluminum and titanium. It has good resistance to corrosion and oxidation along with high tensile and creep-rupture properties at high temperatures to 1300F (700degree). This material has excellent relaxation resistance and is non-magnetic. It has good elevated temperature strength properties to 1300 F (700 degree) and oxidation resistance to 1800 F (983degree). Inconel X 750 is resistant to a wide variety of industrial corrosives under both oxidizing and reducing conditions. This alloy also has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking in the fully age hardened condition.
Monel 400 is a kind of corrosion resistant alloy with the largest dosage, the widest application and excellent comprehensive performance. This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorogas medium, and also has excellent corrosion resistance to hot concentrated lye. It is also resistant to corrosion of neutral solution, water, seawater, atmosphere and organic compounds. An important characteristic of this alloy is that it generally does not produce stress corrosion crack and has good cutting performance.
Many nickel-based steel alloys exhibit high resistance to corrosion, and hastelloy is one of the best. In addition to outstanding resistance to all manner of pitting and cracking, parts made from hastelloy metal blends tend to find good use across a wide range of chemical applications that might otherwise oxidize the metal. Additional elements such as molybdenum and chromium round out the profile of an alloy that is widely regarded as one of the world's toughest.
