Working Principle


Working Principle of Rotary Kiln

1. With a certain slope to the level, the whole kiln body is supported by rollers and fitted with thrust rollers to control up and down movement of the kiln body.
2. Besides main driving unit for driving system, it is also fitted with the auxiliary driving unit so as to ensure the kiln body still can rotating when the main motor is powered off and prevent it from deforming.
3. The kiln head adopts housing type sealing and kiln rear uses axial contact sealing unit so that reliability of sealing could be ensured.

Process Description


Structural components of rotary kiln equipment:

1. Kiln body: The cylinder body of the rotary kiln is made of rolled steel plates, and the cylinder body is inlaid with refractory lining and has a prescribed slope with the horizontal line.

2. Rolling ring: The rolling ring is not directly sleeved on the kiln body, but is installed on the kiln body through the base plate. Its function is to strengthen the kiln body, and at the same time, it can transfer the weight of the cylinder body to the supporting roller.

3. Supporting roller and supporting roller shaft: The supporting roller is installed on the supporting roller shaft by the hot-fitting method, and the supporting roller shaft is installed in two bearings with bronze bearing bushes. The bearings are longitudinally cooled with water, and the temperature of the discharged water should not exceed 25 degrees.

4. Blocking wheel: The blocking wheel is a limiting device, which limits the position of the kiln body on the supporting wheel, but it cannot prevent the kiln body from moving up and down.

5. Transmission: Rotary kiln is generally driven by gears. During normal operation, the main drive motor transmits power to the gear device through the main reducer to drive the rotary kiln.




The working process of lime rotary kiln is:

1>. The treated limestone is stored in the silo and lifted to the silo at the top of the preheater by the elevator.

2>. There are two level gauges on the top of the preheater to control the feeding amount, and then the limestone is evenly distributed into each room of the preheater through the feeding pipe.

3>. The limestone is heated to about 900°C by 1150°C kiln flue gas in the preheater, and about 30% decomposes. It is pushed into the lime rotary kiln by the hydraulic push rod, and the limestone is sintered and decomposed into CaO and CO2 in the rotary kiln. The limestone generated after decomposition enters the cooler, and is cooled to below 100°C by the blown cold air in the cooler. After heat exchange, the 600°C hot air enters the rotary kiln and mixes with the gas for combustion. After the exhaust gas is mixed with cold air, it enters the bag filter through the induced draft fan, and then enters the chimney through the exhaust fan.

4>. The lime from the cooler is sent to the lime product warehouse through vibrating feeder, chain bucket conveyor, bucket elevator and belt conveyor. The screening and other processes is determined according to customer requirements.
