Introduction
KK8048 is saturated carboxyl polyester resin for polyester/TGIC powder coating used in coil or PCM.
In recent years, coil coatings have a lot of room for development in my country. Conventional coils are mostly painted with liquid coatings. Such liquid coatings will cause more or less pollution to the environment. With the strengthening of people's awareness of environmental protection, powder coil coating has become a major development direction. Due to its particularity, coil coatings have special requirements for coating properties, such as weather resistance, chemical resistance, hardness, and bending resistance. Conventional polyester powder coatings can be improved to meet the performance requirements of coil coatings, but conventional polyester powder coatings generally require baking for 10 to 20 minutes to fully cure. However, the coil coating line speed is relatively fast. In order to achieve continuous and rapid coating of the coil on the coating line, the powder coating used must be able to cure quickly in a short time, and the cured coating performance has strict requirements.
KK8048 can be completely cured after baking at 280℃ for 1 minute. The powder coating made of this polyester resin can greatly shorten the curing time. The cured coating has good leveling, good weather resistance, and bending no cracks, meets the performance requirements of coil coatings, and is suitable for rapid coating production lines for coils.
