LOCKING MECHANISM ENSURES CORRECT & SECURE CONNECTION:
This electrical connector is suitable for cables in the size range: 0.5 - 1.5mm2. They are installed by crimping a male tab and female receptacle terminal onto the cables and then inserting them into the the connector housing unit. A secondary lock mechanism ensures that the terminals are properly located as the lock cannot be closed unless terminals are correctly inserted. This ensures a sound and secure connection has been achieved and will prevent them from backing out of the superseal housing.
ASSEMBLEY TIP
When assembling the unit please ensure that the rubber cable seal is crimped within the rear part of the terminal to retain it within the housing. Check that the terminals are in good condition and not deformed before attempting insertion into the housing. If necessary use a pair of long nosed pliers to pull the terminals forward before effecting closure of the red secondary locks.
